General Admin

• Phase 10A tasks
  • Jeff added another item to the Phase 10A list to build a tool to automatically run through specification files to identify lines that are causing very long run times.
• Administrative Transition
  • Update on call with ITE
    • ITE thinks they can accommodate Admin duties and responsibilities
    • Direct questions were posed to them regarding whether they can really take it on
  • Non-profit attorney conversation
    • Most agreements can be transferred from AMPO to Zephyr or own entity w/o too much change
    • Mentioned there is a 9 month ramp-up to get federal non-profit status (important for tax purposes), if we were to set-up new entity; can't get grants until that tax status is approved
  • Report on meeting w/AMPO
    • Bill was open to continue to make the arrangement work
    • Bill paused actions to terminate agreement
    • Bill will get back to Consortium this week on what will work for AMPO; issues AMPO has with existing agreement that will need to be changed in order to make it work
    • Can't wait forever to figure out "ideal" agreement that works for both parties
    • Important for technical Consortium members to be engaging with AMPO to work out best agreement
      • SANDAG agrees Consortium members should be part of discussion, but appreciates Kanti working out higher level issues
    • Need firm commitment from AMPO ASAP on what they can commit for how long
      • Joe will follow-up w/ AMPO if there is no response, to suggest that we need to meet by end of next week;
  • Follow-up call w/ TTI
    • Shared set of roles and tasks with TTI with key list of questions
    • TTI provided response that Joe will review
    • Direct questions were posed to them regarding whether they can really take it on
  • Discussion of next steps
    • Summary of options: AMPO, Zephyr, own non-profit, ITE, TTI
    • End of next week: Figure out if AMPO is yes/no
    • Within next few weeks: get answers back from ITE, TTI, Zephyr, Non-profit to lay out those four options side by side
    • End of November - decision should know what direction we want/plan to go; even if "final" decision isn't fully made.
