What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Kind of expect JS flavour

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Reading what is on the web okt 12. 2011 but documenation is not showing a version

Please provide any additional information below.
would prefer some extensions like:
 named groups (.NET, newer Perl)
 look behind / ahead (.NET, Perl)
 access to all captures for each groups (.NET)
 call named group (perl)
 Balancing group definition (.NET i.e. "...(?<A-B>...)...")

Many of these extensions are not actually regular, and in pathological cases may take more time to evaluate than the universe has left (see http://swtch.com/~rsc/regexp/regexp1.html).

I agree the docs should be more specific.

We are going to reuse the v8 RegExp engine. So the semantics are going to be similar to the ones of JS (with maybe minor changes).

 I found a bug in the Sample code for RegExp.

    RegExp exp = const RegExp(@­"(\w+)");
    String str = "Parse my string";
    //Iterable<Match> matches = exp.allMatches(str, exp); // Original
    Iterable<Match> matches = exp.allMatches(str); // Fixed
