How To Achieve Glass Texture

Psymon edited this page Oct 16, 2023 · 4 revisions

To create a transparent material, such as glass, we use a weird combination of variables and a fur map.

The eye for example has this material with an EM behind it to create a glow.

1. Use the mrl3 of the tobi-kadachi bow (bow006) and transfer it to work on your model.

2. Open your BML in photoshop or whatever you like using.

3. Paint whatever part you want to be glass pure blue, and what you don't want impacted, black.

4. Open the mrl3 in 010, use the template and go to the first "floats" struct.

5. Scroll to variable 35:40 and change them all to above 6.

10 looks good and is what is used in my soul edge mod. above 12 is a decent effect. You can go really high on the value, after about 60 it all looks the same, just changes a lot of refraction around where the material is applied.
