PowerToys Shortcuts in Shortcut Guide

Description of the new feature / enhancement

The shortcuts to access PowerToys features should be shown in the shortcut guide. For example, if the colour picker is enabled then the Windows + Shift + C shortcut should be shown in the menu.

Scenario when this would be used?

This would be used when accessing features that are only available through keyboard shortcuts. This would prevent users from having to access the app to check a shortcut, improving workflow.

Adding the info for PowerToys shortcuts in the Shortcut Guide does make sense, but I wouldn't mind if there was any way to see all currently active PowerToys shortcuts in one place, to avoid opening each and every settings page in turn.

Putting my "vote" in for this. I love PowerToys, but always forget the shortcuts. So I either don't use it or I spend time opening it, and looking for the feature on the dashboard.

About to program my StreamDeck up with most of them, which will be great, but would love a shortcut guide and/or a widget to access my most commonly used features (that shows the shortcut key when you select it).

Yes please. I am also surprised that the shortcuts are sorted by key. Most people (I guess) do not look for "what does this key" do, but for "with wicht key can I Search the Start menu". So combining the PowerToys ShortCuts with the windows ones in a logical grouping would make most sense (to me).

The problem here is that noone seems to feel responsible for the Shortcut Guide. This goes back until at least 2019: #129

As far as I can see, this powertoy doesn't do much more than display a static svg file. This almost trivial functionality results in 80 Open and 613 closed (297 of which are duplicates) issues: https://github.com/microsoft/PowerToys/issues?q=is%3Aissue+%22Shortcut+Guide%22+is%3Aopen

In my opinion, it's past time to set a new course for the Shortcut Guide: Either call it what it is (rename it to something like "help overlay" and allow the user to select custom files for display, not just the Windows Shortcuts SVG), or completely re-invent it and create a powertoy that actually does interact with the shortcut system. https://www.nirsoft.net/utils/hot_keys_list.html might be a start, maybe provide this with context by intelligently recognizing as many hotkeys as possible, grouping them by application and creating different pages for each.

...and just while I'm typing this, I'm stumbling over #890 where some people have gone to real efforts to design a Shortcut Guide v2 - mostly four years ago. 😢

@crutkas from your comments on related issues, it's clear that you're aware of all of this and have a much better overview of what's already been done. I'd really appreciate some feedback (or executive decision) on what the future of the Shortcut Guide should be. Maybe there's even a way to wrap up #890? At a glance, it already seems like a huge improvement, even if some features might still be missing.

You don't have to enter the individual util settings to see the shortcuts.... There already is an overview on the Dashboard:

(Maybe requesting a keyboard shortcut for opening / previewing this dashboard would be more promising than asking for any changes to the Shortcut Guide... No matter. I've printed out a screenshot and added it to my collection of cheat sheets.)

@TinkerTob I have an idea that's shown in issue #24880, but that's completely different from the current idea. It hasn't gained much support yet.
