As we will release a working iteration of the new framework after every sprint, everyone is invited to help with testing the sprint results.
The only thing to remember is that you should only report bugs in this issue, which are caused by the contents of this sprint (which are listed below). So it is vital to look at the content description to see what was actually added. Only by reading this you know what we've really intended to implement and defined as done.
I guess you understand that reporting things which weren't even planned to be part of the sprint won't help in any way.
This releases (which are also marked as Pre-release) aren't meant to be played as replacement for the current framework. It is for testing purpose or a kind of first look at features/changes which will be part of the 0.97 release in some months.
Summary of this sprint
The development of basic structures to build on are still running. Therefore the most work was the design for the different dialogs, which were scheduled for this sprint.
We're delivering a new player menu which is a kind of the refactoring of the old "extended options" dialog in the old framework. So you still have the group management and view distance settings. Also some new features like auto switch to 3rd person and disable radio chatter of AI units in your squad. As this player menu saves the settings in the player profile, the player will have the same settings on all servers/missions which use this menu. As a thought because of that, we're planning to release the player menu as standalone "put inside your mission"-script in the upcoming weeks. It also supports KP Ranks by providing a small overview about your progress and current state.
The admin menu is at the current state a kind of preparations for more admin helper functions which will find their way to the mission. Currently we've implemented an export/import functionality for the save data. So no more debug console work to retrieve that big array, copy it over etc. Only 1 click on one server for export and another click on the new server for the import and you're done. Future functionalities could be some cleaning, debug outputs and other comfort functions for the server admin.
The new building camera overlay is also on a good and promising way to be finished in the next or the following sprint. In general we can say, that it's really much more complicated to provide a "zeus like" and very comfortable building overlay than expected. But even if it was kind of underestimated, we're very confident that it'll be finished. The only drawback is, that it'll need more time. Some first impressions are available for you in the sprint review release.
A very small task concerning the mission name is also finished in this sprint. We've changed the mission name to CTI 34 KP Liberation v0.97. This standard was suggested in the BI Forum and we think it's a good point which is mentioned there, so we joined this convention. https://forums.bohemia.net/forums/topic/217676-mission-name-standard/
