#12778) In the current default, the timeout timer starts when the request is active. If the request is temporary pending due to the circuit breaker, the overall timeout may exceed the time out configured. Currently timeout is handled by setting the RequestOptions on the async client. The async client starts the timeout timer when the request processing starts. When circuit breakers to the ext authz cluster are configured, a request may be temporary in pending state (if the number of active requests is above the circuit breaker threshold). this period of time is not accounted for with the current timer, which can impact over-all latency. …#13571) A few changes that wrapup #12673. * Python/Go dependencies that aren't part of the Envoy binary build don't make sense to track in repository_locations.bzl, since they have their own language specific metadata (e.g. requirements.txt) or are in many cases transitively implied. * Ensure that the full set of dependencies visible to bazel query is now validated. This requires that we explicitly call out transitive dependencies that are implied by direct dependencies in repository_locations.bzl. A new annotation `implied_untracked_deps` is used. The PR updates proxy-wasm-cpp-host dependency for enhancing the capability and fixing a bug in WASM extensions. The change consists of three PRs in proxy-wasm-cpp-host: 1. proxy-wasm/proxy-wasm-cpp-host#68 @PiotrSikora 2. proxy-wasm/proxy-wasm-cpp-host#65 @mathetake (me) 3. proxy-wasm/proxy-wasm-cpp-host#64 @mathetake (me) The code change can be found at proxy-wasm/proxy-wasm-cpp-host@49ed20e...c5658d3 . 1 & 2 enhance WASM capability, and 3 fixes a bug in situations where users share vm_id for multiple filters. * delay health checks until transport socket secrets are ready. This fixes a sequencing issue that could result in undesirable Envoy bootup times. When active health checks are configured on a cluster using a transport socket that uses SDS to fetch secrets, it was possible for the initial health check to run before secrets are loaded, which results in a failure. The health check would then wait for the no_traffic_interval (default of 60s) before trying again. This commit makes health checks wait until secrets are loaded before starting, implemented by adding support for registering a callback on TransportSocketFactory. SslSocketFactory supports invoking the callback when secrets are loaded, and all other socket types currently invoke the callback immediately, preserving existing behavior.
