Logistics
Logistics plays a key part in Frontlines with it allowing you to build up your FOB, purchase supplies and purchase vehicles.
At all FOBs, certain roles have access to the Build Menu which provides access to all the buildings and objects that a faction has access to. The menu has a search bar at the bottom which can help you find a specific vehicle. The summary text on the right summarises the objects resource cost, any specific vehicle information and any extra requirements (such as certain civilian reputations) that must be met to allow you to build the item.
Further to the build menu, a crate menu is available at all FOBs which provides access to pre-defined crates full of useful supplies. They cost a set amount of resources and the contents can be viewed in the summary text on the right.
The factory menu can be accessed at any FOB or Factory. It displays all the factories you currently own and shows what they are producing. You can change the current production by spending 100 supplies.
Resources can be gained in 3 main ways:
- From resource crates which can be found at civilian sectors
- From factories, once setup to produce resources
- From recycling vehicles at a FOB, once the recycle building is built
Moving resources can be done manually, with certain vehicles having access to the inbuilt Frontlines crate loading. Crates can also be loaded via ACE. These crates can then be brought to a FOB or Factory and stored for future use. Supplies can be retrieved from FOBs or Factories via ACE Self Interact in the Withdraw Resources menu.
Another method is by using the logistics menu, this menu allows you to automate the travel of supplies by purchasing trucks and spending fuel to move resources between sectors. This menu can be opened at any FOB or Factory. It shows the current routes on the left. On the right you can begin new routes by selecting the pickup location (left combobox) and destination (right combobox), selecting the desired resources and then starting the route. You must have enough trucks (which can be purchased for 100 supplies via the button along the bottom) and enough fuel at the nearest FOB.
Once established, you can purchase FOB boxes/trucks that can be used to build a new FOB. These can be transported to any location and setup. This will provide all the same utility as the starting FOB.
