Also note that the Accumulo connector is covered in quite a bit of details in the book Trino: The Definitive Guide. However as author of that book and knowing the content I believe that is is fine to remove the connector. The book editions are all tied to a specific version of Trino and validated against that. And just like much of the other parts of the book, the concepts and content covered in the Accumulo connector chapter is still valid and useful for readers. We might however decide to leave the docs page in place with a message. wdyt @martint@mattsfuller ?
If we go ahead we probably also want to remove the logo from the data sources page on the website and close all related issues.

The connector seems unused from all interaction on the community
and following an investigation with users, vendors, and customers.

The community of maintainers and contributors expressed interest in removing the connector.
The original creators and users have confirmed that they are no longer using or needing the connector.
A question on Trino slack revealed no further information.
@mosabua asked on the Accumulo channel on ASF slack and no users where found there.
The issue will be raised that contributor call on the 24th of Oct 2024 - https://github.com/trinodb/trino/wiki/Contributor-meetings#trino-contributor-call-24-oct-2024
