cIPL

ARK_cIPL: Works on every retail model (1K, 2K, 3K, Go and Street), testkits/CEX2DEX with 6.60 Testing Tool Firmware, and DTP-T1000 devkit models on 6.60 Development Tool Firmware

Note: For new cIPL 6.60 or 6.61 is required works on all PSP models. Classic cIPL works on both 6.60 and 6.61 on supported models.

What is cIPL?
Patches OFW IPL to allow loading of custom modules that provide a CFW. Historically the only mechanism for loading a custom IPL was the so called "pandora block" a forged IPL block that appeared valid to the PSP. Only supported 01g/some 02g models.
New mechanism is the "reset exploit" but as a side effect the pre-ipl is unmapped and requires additional patching to allow the OFW IPL to load/decrypt later stages successfully.

Prerequisites

• Remove Infinity if installed with ChronoSwitch before proceding
• Please make sure you have done these steps before proceding

Installation

This will do both checking your PSP and Install if compatible

1. Open ARK4.zip unless already opened.

2. Connect PSP to PC

3. Extract ARK_cIPL from within the PSP folder of ARK4.zip to ??0:/PSP/GAME/ (?? means depending on if you are using a PSP GO ef0 or any other model ms0)

4. Safely unmount PSP from PC

5. On PSP, go to Game

6. Click on Memory Stick™

7. Launch ARK cIPL Flasher

8. Press the corrisponding accept button to install.

9. Reboot your PSP afterward and verify you are still running ARK-4.

   4. System Software should report ARK 4.20.XX cIPL
