- What's left for MVP? How can this group help?
- ... (feel free to add agenda items)
- What's left for MVP?
Danny: Unfortunately, quite a bit is left. But we're getting there.
What we will have for For Islandoracon:
Danny: We're on track to deliver something functional. Certainly more than the original demo from the last con. Right now we should have Basic Image and Large Image, and their derivatives. Possibly we may have Book, although here are some Drupal modelling issues that will give us trouble (hard to work it in with PCDM). All of this flushing to Fedora.
What we won't have:
Danny: Probably not APIs. We're close, but it won't be fully formed by Islandoracon. We can't write tests against it because of rules. We have something that does work, but it works the Drupal way. You can patch and post things through the usual Drupal REST means and get them on JSON-LD and other formats. We can just use that until the API takes off.
We also won't have the flow from Fedora back into Drupal. It's doable, but not in time for the Conference. We need to prioritize how we do it
How can this group help?
Danny: It's already helping a lot. Having people look at PRs and test things is extremely helpful. Having questions come in is also really helpful. Still trying to pull off smaller things and make newbie tickets to parcel out the work. There are some huge rabbit-hole tickets out there right now, so if anyone is exploring those and finds themselves lost, you can also help the overall effort by asking for help.
Looking for the pace of contribution to hopefully pick up after the MVP release is done and more of the community can get comfortable with CLAW. Going back to sprints (in a more targeted fashion) can follow too.
Jared: As soon as MVP is out, University of Manitoba is going to start working with it to determine what else needs ot go in for their production needs.
Danny: If we have books in place, getting Newspapers working should be pretty easy.
