We at Sinqia translated the subtitles and articles from the Introduction of InnerSource Learning Path into Brazilian Portuguese.

This is fantastic work, @ArmandoGuimaraes! We are very excited for this work! We will review and get it on the webpage soon (probably this week).

We're guessing that you may be excited to work on the other sections? @nysenthil has been pioneering a process where we generate machine translations of the articles with IBM Watson Language Translation and then have a native speaker review and make any needed corrections (as a way to speed things up). Would you be interested in working with Senthil as the native speaker reviewer for Portuguese on the other sections?

Also ... you call this "Brazilian" Portuguese. Is it different from the Portuguese spoken in Portugal or other areas of the world where it should have a separate location on the website? Or are all Portuguese the same as far as the innersourcecommons.org website is concerned?

Well.... usually we separate Portuguese from Portugal and Portuguese from Brazil.
This is often seen a lot, for example in the Microsoft Office suite.
Although it is possible to "understand" any of them, however, we tend to separate them due to some differences in translations.

Thank you for this, always great to see new languages represented!

I might suggest splitting this into multiple PRs - maybe 1 per segment - as 1700 lines is quite a lot to review in one go!

I would love to work with Senthil as the native speaker reviewer for Portuguese on the other sections. Please let me know the next steps and how I can start working on this project.

@nysenthil will create the PR with machine translation and add you as the reviewer. You make commit suggestions for any edits, approve, and then we’re done. I’ll let @nysenthil chime in with his availability to start the machine translation PR.

separate Portuguese from Portugal and Portuguese from Brazil

Should you label the files as pt-br instead of just pt then?

Hi, @ArmandoGuimaraes ❗ We are so glad that you submitted this content and that you have reviews from @fer-correa and @DanielleAlmeida. Take a look at their feedback and see what you want to incorporate? It will be great to see this content up on the website at innersourcecommons.org!

I took a look at this - in order for it to show up as Brazilian Portuguese on the website things need to go in the pt-br folder (not just pt).

Hi @ArmandoGuimaraes and @fer-correa ❗ We hope that you can finish this pull request. Assuming that finishes successfully, we want to put out machine translations for the other sections for you to review for the other sections. @nysenthil is working on this now. Let's finish this PR and then move on to reviewing the other sections so that we have all Learning Path sections in Brazilian Portuguese!

This work seems to have reached a "paused" state. We are going to merge it into a branch and then when folks are ready to pick up this work again anyone can work more on the branch to prepare it to go into main.
