Feedback

Some comments/questions:

• Some text on your strategy for the dashboard and what you’re trying to accomplish with it would be great. I think you can drop those in the wiki.
• It would be useful/essential to know what each of the elements does. EG under ‘project title’ are each of those tabs which are clickable and reveal additional functionality underneath? What does the recent activity feed show?
• My profile will always be in the top right nav under the photo. Not sure we need to also list on the landing page.
• Ditto for settings which will likely go in the top nav.
• What are your ideas with ‘deadlines’ ‘messages’ and ‘saved projects’? We don’t currently have those functions in the system. Are they placeholders for future functionality?
• How would we integration notifications for things like pending volunteers? https://github.com/18F/midas/issues/64

Net takeaway

This second design looks inconsistent with the UX of the existing site.

Features that would be useful for the dashboard:

• Listing of projects and opportunities the user is working on and has volunteered for.
• Update on comments on the user's projects/opportunities
• Activity feeds on projects/ ops
• Marketing module with recommendations on projects/ops that match the users tags, or are similar to other projects they've worked on
