Scope of Change

This RFC's goal is to remove HHVM support from the XP Framework and its libraries

Rationale

In September 2018, Facebook announced ending support for PHP in HHVM

Functionality

  • Remove HHVM badges
  • Drop support, release major version of framework (10.0.0)
  • Remove support from libraries when either their next major release is due or Travis-CI starts shipping PHP-incompatible HHVM releases

Security considerations

None

Speed impact

Not relevant
