Changes

~~This branch is used to cut prereleases of [email protected] as astro@next. It should not be committed to directly, but PRs can be opened against it.~~ Update: plan is to merge into main, so that we get CI-powered next releases.
CI should be enabled on this branch so we can have automatic releases here as well.
