Thingino is an open source firmware for IP cameras built on an Ingenic SoC. This independent project has a vision and approach that embraces the open source ideals.
Thingino does not try to build a universal firmware file that would be used on multiple camera models. Instead, we build a firmware which is nicely tailored to the targeted hardware, with minimum overhead.
Thingino is young but develops fast. You should expect frequent updates, exciting new features, and occasional breaking changes.
Thingino uses a custom version of prudynt as a go-to streamer while working on its own fully open modular solution - Raptor.
For more details on our project philosophy, please see the Project Philosophy page.
Please join our Telegram channel and Discord server for realtime conversation with developers and users of the firmware.
New users can begin by visiting the Getting Started entry.
The Thingino Wiki is a comprehensive collection of in-depth, technical material designed to support both novices and experienced users alike. We strive to present information in a clear, simple, and accessible way to make it easy for you to understand and use.
While our wiki aims to be user-friendly, most sections involve technical details that could seem a bit complex. We acknowledge that certain aspects of the project might be challenging due to their technical nature.
Whether you're just starting out or diving into more advanced topics, you'll find helpful resources throughout the wiki. Our goal is to provide you with the information you need to confidently work with your Thingino device.
We’re constantly improving our content and welcome your contributions to the wiki to help enhance the experience for everyone.
