I am an environmental data scientist with a passion for policy, open science and data visualization. I am trained in applied ecology, ecohydrology and ecophysiology, as well as statistics and numerical modelling. Currently, I advise the German Council of Experts on Climate Change Issues on climate change mitigation in the areas of land-use, forestry and agriculture as a policy and data analyst. Previously, I worked on wetland-forest interactions to support the restoration of oil sand mines, climate adaptation of urban trees, reasearch software development and modelling ecological systems. I also enjoy teaching and contributing to open science and open source software. Check out my CV and my code portfolio.
