@nden, the mktrace tests are setup in that testing_plus branch! Ready for use. And for official records sake I'll write this down here: we got the go ahead from the STIS team to put this change in with the testing updates and Python 3 only changes. |

Needs a rebase. Also, I am removing nmpfit from stsci.tools, so this should go in sooner than later. |

astropy.modelingto fit a Gaussian instead ofnmpfitwhich is deprecated.Also PEP 8 and other common sense changes.
