The XML EOL Encoding SEP (/reviews/CR-40585029) requires that SDKs have the ability to use the equivalent character entities in place of EOL characters in XML payloads sent by the SDK in order prevent XML EOL normalization (https://www.w3.org/TR/xml/#sec-line-ends) from removing or replacing them.
