LDK Screen Upgrade
The next guide is to replace/upgrade the LDK Game console screen for a bigger one. Thanks to Tbox for this.
Note: There will be a little bit of backlight bleed on the sides but only really noticeable in the dark.
I cut and sanded the ldk shell to size so the screen completely drops through the top. Then I bought a lexan sheet and cut to size for the protector.
then i taped the borders and plastidipped the back of the plexi sheet to create the black bezel
This was how it looked like before the black bezel
Side by side of stock screen
I used the stock outer protector as a guide to cut mine
i dyed mine as well from clear
This is what it looks like after it's cut and sanded
this is how it looks when the screen is dropped. fyi i removed the top metal frame of the display so it's smaller
Since the top two back screws aren't used as support anymore, i used tape at the top so the shell stays in place. This may be done inside if you are careful i used double sided clear tape for the outer plastic to stick on the lcd display.
