Button mapping and combos

These actions can be triggered on boot sequence right after the RetroFW bootlogo is displayed on screen.
Input | Action |
---|---|
SELECT + B (hold) | Recovery mode |
SELECT + Y (hold) | Developer mode with USB Network |
R (hold) | Boot kernel on external SD card |
These actions can be triggered after the system has booted. They are system wide and works over any app or emulator running.
Input | Action |
---|---|
SELECT + POWER | Kill all running apps |
POWER (hold 1s) | Enter suspend mode |
POWER (hold >4s) | Power off the device |
GMenuNX is the official RetroFW interface. These actions can be triggered while using it only (will not work over emulators).
Input | Action |

A | Accept / Launch selected link / Confirm action |
B | Back / Cancel action |
X | Goes up one directory in file browser |
Y | Bring up the manual/readme |
L/R | Switch between sections / PageUp/PageDown on lists |
START | GMenuNX settings |
SELECT | Bring up the contextual menu |
SELECT + L | Volume control |
SELECT + R or BRIGHTNESS | Change screen brightness |
SELECT + START | Take a screenshot |
POWER or START (hold) | Bring up Poweroff dialog / Wake up from suspend |
TV-Out | Connect/Disconnect the TV-out jack to toggle TV-out signal |
In GMenuNX settings:
Input | Action |
---|---|
A, LEFT, RIGHT | Accept, select or toggle setting |
B | Back or cancel edits and return |
START | Save edits and return |
SELECT | Clear or set default value |
