Facet creation and testing

  • Upload a file or edit an existing one

  • Tag the file with a unique identifier tag (I used "zzz")

  • Create a collection or edit an existing one

  • Tag the file with a unique identifier tag (I used "zzz")

    • Keep in mind you cannot actually set a tag on collections, type "zzz" into the description.
  • From the homepage, use the search bar to search for your unique identifier tag ("zzz")

    • You will be sent to the Results page and should see both the collection and the file that were uploaded and tagged.
  • On the left side of the page is the facets list. Open the "Object Type" facet and select "File"

  • This will keep the search parameters of "zzz" but only show the file tagged with it. Notice the collection is not showing

  • On the left side of the page is the facets list. Open the "Object Type" facet and click the "X" next to "File" to show all results again

  • On the left side of the page is the facets list. Open the "Object Type" facet and select "Collection"

  • This will keep the search parameters of "zzz" but only show the collection tagged with it. Notice the file is not showing

  • On the left side of the page is the facets list. Open the "Object Type" facet and click the "X" next to "Collection" to show all results again
