Hi @ianlmk. Thanks for your PR.

I'm waiting for a kubernetes member to verify that this patch is reasonable to test. If it is, they should reply with /ok-to-test on its own line. Until that is done, I will not automatically test new commits in this PR, but the usual testing commands by org members will still work. Regular contributors should join the org to skip this step.

Once the patch is verified, the new status will be reflected by the ok-to-test label.

would be good to also let people override "http://mirror.centos.org/" so we can override our own mirror locations.

I believe we're likely to use #7609 to fix this since we don't want to inadvertently upgrade packages. We can do that in addition, but since this needs to be backported asap, #7609 seems like less resistance. Thanks so much for jumping in on this!
