With `GlobalEdge` having been removed, it makes sense to simplify the name of the only remainging edge object.

Now that
GlobalEdgeis no longer a thing (which is a result of my work on #1937), it makes sense to simplify the name of the only remaining edge object. This required a whole lot of updates, making for a rather large pull request.
