As a Kibana user, i would like to be able to tell what version of Kibana i am using, so that i can look for appropriate documentation, file bugs appropriately, etc.

Discreetly including the version number somewhere on page, perhaps in the footer, would achieve this.

It is entirely possible that this is already implemented in the current version of Kibana, in which case i apologise. Sadly, i do not know if i am using the current version of Kibana.

In the most recent version of the code (installed yesterday), the version is in the bar at the top-right of the window. "Kibana 3 milestone 2". So, as far as I can tell, this is included already. Unless you were looking for something else?

It's not there in the version we have deployed. From this, i can conclude that we have an old version deployed!

This sounds like exactly what i wanted, thanks.
