Kibana version: 5.2 (started in dev mode)
Elasticsearch version: 5.2
Server OS version: Windows 10
Browser version: Firefox 51.0.1
Browser OS version: Windows 10

Original install method (e.g. download page, yum, from source, etc.): from source

Description of the problem including expected versus actual behavior:
When a saved search visualisation is used
and i press the small arrow infront of the line
the object is to big to be shown in the visualisation
but no scrollbar ot somethign else is displayed and the user is unable to view to the full object in the visualisation

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Create a saved search visualisation
  2. Embed it in a dashboard and make it a small size
  3. open the full object in the visualisation via the small arrow
  4. now only half of the object is visible and there is no possibility in to scroll down or something else

Saw the same issue yesterday.

  • Kibana Version: 5.2
  • Elasticsearch Version: 5.2
  • Single Dev Node Configuration
  • Server OS Version: Windows 7 Professional (SP1)
  • Original install method: Download
  • Browser Version: Firefox 51.0.1 (32-bit) & Chrome 56.0.2924.87 (64-bit) & Internet Explorer 11.0.9600.18537

Description & Steps to reproduce as above.

Additional Information

  • Scroll bar is missing only in Firefox (screenshot attached)
  • Scroll bar appears correctly in Chrome (screenshot attached) and IE

The "Discover" search view is fine. It's only when saved search is an inner frame visualization within a dashboard. A Data Table visualization in the same dashboard does scroll correctly in FF, Chrome, and IE.

From memory this was not an issue for Firefox in ES 5.1.2, but I've removed the install so can't confirm, but I have been using Firefox as default so would have seen this before.

Screenshot for Chrome (has scrollbar)

per @kobelb and @gammon, this is a dashboard-related issue, specific to Firefox
