Water #21
Comments
I agree that without water this type of project will struggle to get off the ground. A lake or reservoir should have a feeder too, like a river or natural spring, to keep replenishing it. A well/ borehole should be checked by a water diviner to ensure that there is sufficient ground water to sustain it. |
I want to avoid a well/borehole and stick to being next to a year-round river. |

This is incredibly frightening. We know what day zero has been for our
families in. Cape Town, but sadly not much has been done to secure water
for the future by the present government. Not sure what they’re waiting
for!
Inspiring to see what has been done in Singapore; people with their back to
the wall have worked together to find a solution. Hats off to them! May
the world take a leaf out of their book and follow their lead

Living in Northern Europe, Water Scarcity is not something we think about very often, however it's a fact of life for much of the planet. see: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Water_scarcity

As the Earth's average temperature rises the warmer regions of land will become dryer, so the water scarcity problem is going to get worse.
