I've compiled a list of most pangolin-associated data package (pangolin-data, pangolin-assignment, constellations) releases usable with pangolin > v4, and their minimal requirements in terms of pangolin and scorpio.
Including it here (or in any other pangolin subfolder) would have an immediate benefit in the Galaxy world where for reproducibility we are aiming at offering users "historic" versions of the data packages through preinstalled datadirs.
We could make this list the source of truth in terms of which such versions exist and which of them to offer with which Galaxy pangolin wrapper. @pvanheus is currently working on this issue and it would simplify things for him a lot.
Beyond that, pangolin itself could use the list at some point to warn users about incompatible combinations of pangolin, scorpio and the data packages.
