This improves the automatic construction of URLs to include tokens other than [id], which allows switching the CiviGrant extension to use the api.

Overview
This improves the automatic construction of URLs to include tokens other than
[id], which allows switching the CiviGrant extension to use the api. It also paves the way for the ECK extension to integrate with RecentItems.
