File Location And Role

The following paths are searched, in this order: /etc/environment, /data/etc/environment and /boot/environment. Files that are present are used to source in environment variables into the init scripts system, as well as into interactive shells, through /etc/profile.

File Format

This is a simple shell script that should contain only name="value" lines.
