Add your favorite blocks to a backpack
This tutorial explains how to store your favorite blocks in a backpack, to make sure you can access them very rapidly. That way you can avoid having to navigate over and over again through all the categories in the toolbox, to search for your most used blocks.
-
Activate the backpack via the config node:
-
Now a backpack will be activated for this config node, and a backpack icon will be displayed in the workspace.
-
Add your favorite blocks in the backpack, by dragging them on top of the backpack or via the right-click contextmenu (menu item "Copy to backpack") on the Blockly block.
-
Add your favorite blocks quickly in your workspace, by opening the backpack and drag your favorite block from the backpack into the workspace.
-
Via the right click contextmenu of the backpack, it is e.g. possible to empty the backpack.
The following animation shows how to add blocks to the backpack:
Some remarks:
- Each config node - where the backpack has been activated- has its own backpack contents. So all nodes with the same config node will share the same backpack. This way the backpack with your favorite blocks will be reusable across all those Blockly nodes.
- When there is need for another backpack (with other favorite blocks), a new config node needs to be created and applied to your other Blockly node (where the separate backpack is needed).
- The updated backpack content will be saved when the "Done" button is clicked and the updated flow is deployed.
