Hi, I'm running Ubuntu 12.04.

Some games start and most don't. What's up wit dat?

Don't Run:
Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery - no response
Harvest: Massive Encounter - no response
Cubemen - no response
Braid - "Failed to start game (missing executable)"
Galcon Fusion
Penumbra Overture
Cubemen
The Polynomial

Run:
World of Goo
Space Pirates and Zombies
Dungeons of Dreadmor
Aquaria (sucks cause can't exit - mouse keeps going back to No in sick joke)

I'm running nvidia 310 drivers (304 won't load)

Please take a look at #28 #39 #58 #79 #108 #148 #188 #213 #232 #302 #394 #401 #440 #510 #525 and #721, then tell me why you can't use the search box before writing a duplicate report.

Hi @MichaelJCole https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=8495-OKZC-0159 lists the active games in the beta ‐ Braid is not which is why you get that error.
It’s likely you’re missing a system library, if you run steam in a terminal and launch a game you should get that feedback. If its a problem with steam, please reopen.

Can I suggest that until the store is fixed, you make the "Linux" button on the top point to the article you mentioned?

@johndrinkwater - Thanks for the link. Steam, seriously? After buying these games specifically because they were listed in the Linux store, that's a really sloppy user experience and business. You can do better!

@Tele42 - You'll have more friends and maybe be less lonely if you're nicer.
