MCT Code of Conduct
MCT students and teachers have formulated a set of principles and values that should be maintained and upheld by everyone. This is important not only because it creates a necessary ethical and moral framework, but because it gives students a unique chance to collectively discuss and reflect on these matters as well as influence the programme's general conduct. This code of conduct is revised and updated every year by students and teachers.

When connected in a videoconference, follow these rules:
- keep your your camera on (except during breaks)
- keep your microphone muted (unless you are talking/presenting)
- use your full name as the display name (when using Zoom, log in using your UiO account)
- do not record video or images unless you have asked all participants for consent
- ensure that the quality of your audio, video, and connection is good enough (especially when actively participating)
- Consumption of food is not allowed.
- Consumption of corrosive drinks (e.g. sodas) is not allowed.
- Consumption water, coffee or tea is allowed only in containers with a closed lid.
- Be aware that there can be an audio-video streaming in process at anytime (but not recording), even if the people on the other side are not visible/audible.
During the programme, you will most likely deal with photograph, filming and recording of other people. In these cases, we should always ask any recognizable people a written consent before sharing that content.
