Dezaemon 3D, unlike most games that supports 64DD expansions, does not reboot. Instead it uses the disk for storage access, sometimes with samples on the ROM Area.

Technical Details

  • The game checks for the following 64DD units:
    • Japanese Retail Unit
    • Development Unit
  • The game does not check for a Game Code, instead it looks for the following in the Disk ID:
    • Company Code: E7 (Athena)
    • Free Area: ATNFS? (Athena FileSystem)
      • ? is replaced by the Disk Type number in ASCII (such as 0 or 3).
