EMsoftSlackTest
This program performs a simple test to check whether or not your computer is properly set up for messaging, either via email or via Slack. Details can be found in the section on Slack Messaging in the Package Configuration help page under the Information for Developers tab.
The program simply ask the user to type in a sentence. Depending on the settings in the EMsoft configuration file, in particular the EMNotify field, the message will be sent out to the user's email address, or to the selected Slack channel. In either case, the service must be properly configured on the user's computer or the message will not be sent. The EMsoftSlackTest program has only very limited ability to diagnose why a message may not have been sent.
Wiki pages are maintained by M. De Graef; they are part of the EMsoft package and fall under the same copyright (BSD2).
