the code tells me it's a constructor already, but it doesn't tell me it create a range constraint in the underlying implementation unless i am familiar with the code

no, i meant that we see it's a constructor and the comment should say what happens under the hood in the constructor, hence my comment :)

well, I just thought it might've been unclear that it was happening under the hood in the constructor.
