Emoji are not rendered on the Pixel 3 emulator, API 29, on develop

The view is detected and added (as I can tap and drag it, making the delete view appear) but it's not showing the emoji.

Been researching this again and it's the same problem we've already had before as explained in #153 (comment)

Trying with other view sizes works, but couldn't find a solution that really handles it.

Will leave this open and see if we can try with an actual device.

This has also been reported by @Tug on a Nokia 8 - OS version Android 9

One thing happened to me the other day with a slightly older version of Portkey demo app:

  1. started a story by taking a picture, then added an emoji, then added a text with an emoji only character
  2. resized, dragged, rotated and left them
  3. tapped PUBLISH (just 1 slide story, as I just wanted the picture to be saved)
  4. the resulting image did NOT have the second emoji (the one made up of added text).

I wonder if this is related to this comment here #393 (comment)

At one point after adding a sticker and text and then switching to a different slide, when I came back the sticker and text had disappeared.
