This repo contains a real-time 3D-reconstruction-from-video demo, based on the NeuralRecon 3D reconstruction library. This was done as part of the USYD winter VRI 2023 project Edge computing for robotics inspection.
Based on a hardware setup consisting of a ZED 2 camera connecting to a Jetson AGX Orin computing device, this project aims to build a 3D mesh reconstruction of the local scene in real time from a camera stream. Potential applications of this could extend to scene reconstruction capabilities on edge environments and lightweight robotics platforms, which enables the inspection of remote and dangerous sites of interest.
