A matter-energy conversion based storage unit which can hold up to 10k stacks, consuming 10 W of power per stack of items. In the event of a power outage, items already inside will be safe, but the Archival Storage Unit will not be able to store more. Don't break it.
Items stored in this Device are not spawned and therefore won't be automatically accessible by your pawns. Use I/O Ports to interact with it.
The Archival Storage Unit
is a High Performance Storage Solution.
It Intended Use Case is to store significant amounts of items without the Performance Impact that is usually caused by that.
There are 2 methods to get Items into the Archival Storage Unit
- Pawns hauling the items directly to it
- via I/O Ports using the Input mode
There are 3 methods to get Items out of the Archival Storage Unit
- via I/O Ports using the Output mode
- via Pullers
- via the GUI (dropping individual items)
Please note: It is not possible for pawns to directly access the items stored in it. you must use on of the options outlined above.
The Archival Storage Unit
has an Integrated Orbital Trade beacon, meaning all items inside can be Traded.
Local trades with the items inside are also supported
It is currently incompatible with the Advanced IO Port. This is also the reason why they can't be liked
