How to update selection values in ui.select?

Hi,

I have a ui.select element that allows selection between few json files.
Recently I added an upload button so that the site users can upload new files to the list, but I can't get the ui.select element to show the new file listed unless I rerun the server.

I tried changing the value attribute of the element, but it only changed the previewed text.
I tried to re-define the element but got new one instead :(

Here is an example:
