Bug Description:

"Order status fails to update to "Refunded" on "WooCommerce>> Orders" screen after completing/submitting “Issue a refund” form."

Environment:

Woocommerce Version : WooCommerce 5.6.0
WooCommerce PayPal Payments 1.6.0 - test
WordPress version: v5.8.1

PC:
Windows 10, Mac 10.14.6
Chrome(Version 93.0.4577.82)
Firefox(Version 92.0 (64-bit))
Safari: v14.1.2

Steps To Reproduce:

  1. Create any test site using JN site.
  2. Install and activate all the required plugins.
  3. Complete the setup wizard.
  4. Connect the store to Pay Pal payment.
  5. Place order for any product through paypal payment.
  6. Go to WooCommerce > Orders and click on the order.
  7. Click on the link in parenthesis under “Order # details” and log in using your PayPal sandbox business account details.
  8. Click “Issue a refund”, complete the form and click “Issue Refund”.
  9. Go back to WooCommerce > Orders and confirm order status has been changed to “Refunded”.
  10. Observe that "Order status fails to update to "Refunded" on "WooCommerce>> Orders" screen.

Actual Result:

"Order status fails to update to "Refunded" on "WooCommerce>> Orders" screen after completing/submitting “Issue a refund” form."

Expected Result:

"Order status should update to "Refunded" on "WooCommerce>> Orders" screen after completing/submitting “Issue a refund” form."

Isolating the problem (mark completed items with an [x]):

  • I have deactivated other plugins and confirmed this bug occurs when only WooCommerce plugin is active.
  • This bug happens with a default WordPress theme active, or Storefront.
  • I can reproduce this bug consistently using the steps above.

It seems like webhooks take some time to arrive, is it still the same after 2-3 minutes?

Closing it as I´m not able to reproduce using latest version (1.6.4), it works as expected in my live testing site.
