Can't configure pylsp

Trying to enable pylint in pylsp, however I receive the error invalid key: settings in nvim. Here's my init.vim code below:

local opts = { noremap=true, silent=true }
if server.name == "pylsp" then
opts.settings = {
    pylsp = {

Ok figured it out, was some issue with my lua syntax.

How does this code fit into init. I tried:

for _, lsp in pairs(servers) do
  require('lspconfig')[lsp].setup {
    on_attach = on_attach,
    flags = {
      -- This will be the default in neovim 0.7+
      debounce_text_changes = 150,
    }
  }
  if lsp == "pylsp" then
    opts.settings = {
        pylsp = {
            plugins = {
                pylint = { enabled = true },
                mccabe = { enabled = false }
                }
            }
        }
  end
end

but it keeps failing ...

Here's what I ended up with:

if server.name == "pylsp" then
opts.settings = {
    pylsp = {
       plugins = {
          pylint = {
            enabled = true,
            args = '--load-plugins pylint_django'
          }
       }
    }
}
end
server:setup(opts)
end)

Sadly to get it to work I had to comment out other bits of the installer lua config. All very confusing. Not even sure the pylint plugin args above work and is just failing silently, but at least pylint now works.
