A bug in sysinfo made it so the initial data would load but not update until refreshed. This updates the subscription handler with the correct addContinuousData function to correct this.

Walkthrough

The change updates a React useEffect hook within the SysinfoView component by modifying its dependency array. Originally, the effect depended solely on connName, but the update adds addContinuousData as a dependency. This ensures that the effect re-runs when either connName or addContinuousData changes. The effect itself subscribes to a wave event and processes incoming data items. No new logic or error handling has been introduced, and there are no changes to the declarations of exported or public entities.

358-380: LGTM! The dependency array update fixes the stale closure issue.

Adding addContinuousData to the dependency array ensures that the event subscription handler always has access to the latest version of the function, preventing stale closures that were causing the data update issue.

358-380:

✅ Verification successful

Verify that data updates are working correctly after the fix.

Let's verify that the system information updates are now working as expected:

🏁 Script executed:

#!/bin/bash
# Description: Check for any error logs or issues related to sysinfo data updates

# Search for any error logs related to sysinfo data updates
rg -i "error.*sysinfo" -A 5

# Search for any commented out code or TODOs related to sysinfo updates
rg -i "TODO.*sysinfo|FIXME.*sysinfo"

# Look for any related test files
fd -g "*test*sysinfo*.{ts,tsx,js,jsx}"

Length of output: 1498

Sysinfo data updates verified – No further issues detected.

After reviewing the output:

  • The error logs present are standard and indicate proper error handling.
  • No stray TODO/FIXME comments or test files related to sysinfo were found.
  • The event subscription and data update logic appears correct with the intended threshold check.

  • PR comments: Tag @coderabbitai in a new PR comment to ask questions about the PR branch. For the best results, please provide a very specific query, as very limited context is provided in this mode. Examples:
    • @coderabbitai gather interesting stats about this repository and render them as a table. Additionally, render a pie chart showing the language distribution in the codebase.
    • @coderabbitai read src/utils.ts and generate unit testing code.
    • @coderabbitai read the files in the src/scheduler package and generate a class diagram using mermaid and a README in the markdown format.
    • @coderabbitai help me debug CodeRabbit configuration file.

Note: Be mindful of the bot's finite context window. It's strongly recommended to break down tasks such as reading entire modules into smaller chunks. For a focused discussion, use review comments to chat about specific files and their changes, instead of using the PR comments.
