http://nodejs.tchol.org/ has been offline for a time. @daniel-pittman mentioned that http://patches.fedorapeople.org/oldnode/ appeared to be a mirror, so lets use it for now.

nodejs.tchol.org seems to be offline, so lets use
patches.fedorapeople.org instead to deploy RPMs via yumrepo.
Since we are switching to using yumrepo, lets remove any existing
nodejs-stable-release packages on osfamily RedHat.

Awesome. Have you actually tested that to be sure it works? It looks right, but I totally don't trust my own testing of it to be anywhere near sufficient. :)

In process of testing right now on CentOS 6 x86_64 and possible a few other VMs.

Thanks: that works for me. Much appreciated. I always like that outside confirmation. :)

Maybe it's just me, but off a freshly pxe'd CentOS 6.3 VM, I still get:

err: /Stage[main]/Nodejs/Package[nodejs-stable-release]/ensure: change from absent to present failed: Execution of '/bin/rpm -i --oldpackage http://nodejs.tchol.org/repocfg/el/nodejs-stable-release.noarch.rpm' returned 1: curl: (7) Failed to connect to 2607:f298:4:141::900:d0aa: Network is unreachable
error: skipping http://nodejs.tchol.org/repocfg/el/nodejs-stable-release.noarch.rpm - transfer failed

but I see the new url was merged to master. My mistake?

Edit: Yes, I didn't upgrade my puppetlabs-nodejs module:

[root@puppet3 modules]# puppet module upgrade puppetlabs/nodejs
