Looks like there is no 18.04 nor 20.04 PPA. Is this really still maintained? All changes to this module have been modulesyncs or allowing newer versions of dependencies.

Is it time to retire this repo?

Seems to support Debian 9 and Ubuntu 18 though the software has not been updated in two years and never even made it to a 1.0.0 release. https://github.com/facette/facette/releases

I'm +1 for not maintaining puppet modules for software that is no longer maintained.

If we are retiring this, suggest allowing @smortex to merge in the open PR's and do a final release.

Hi!

+1 for archiving this repo.

Not sure one more release even make sense since this rely on a ppa only available for Ubuntu 14.04 which has reached EOL in April 2019.

What steps are needed? I guess an admin has to archive this repo and we should also remove it from modulesync_config?

We had great trouble with that the last time. puppet-wget is one where we agreed, but never followed through completely. voxpupuli/puppet-wget#119 is still open. However, we did remove it from modulesync_config and added a note to its README (voxpupuli/puppet-wget@eba71ea).

So I'd say we start with:

  • Opening an issue in this repo to deprecate it
  • Remove it from modulesync_config
  • Add a note to the README, pointing to the issue

I'm not sure we need to archive it completely. Having the open issue is ok. If someone does step up, they can respond there. With an archived repo that's not possible.
