This PR aims to reduce the size of the bundled package we produce for
crates.io, which it does by around 25%.Before:

The main contributors to package size were:
uuidpackage, so have been excluded.Cargo.lockused because examples were present. I've moved the examples to a separate crate to avoid the generation of this bundled lock file.I've checked that you can still
cargo buildandcargo testthe contents of the package after excluding the various bits and pieces here.
