Hey there,
I recommend to add a new size "extra large" (xl) for desktops larger than 1600px. The reason is, the number of people using very large monitors (24", 26", TV) is strongly increasing.
Maybe because of TVs an xxl-design would be also good :D

Duplicate of #12802 & #9256.
An XL grid size is currently tentatively planned for Bootstrap v4, but I'm not sure what screen size range @mdo is going to have it cover.
XXL is probably in the realm of "too uncommon to be worth including", but adding a custom grid tier yourself isn't too hard.

I don't think we'll add anything for this in v4 honestly. However, because we're moving to rem units, this should be super easy to customize on your end come v4.

Hmm, I guess that Gist needs a small update then.

@cvrebert The fourth grid tier is the 480px breakpoint, and my current thoughts on that are we replace the xs—giving us xs, sm, md, and lg. It's been awhile since I looked at it though, so maybe that'll change. I won't know until I start working on it.

@mdo Thank's for the info. I know, that it's easy to customize the styles. I just thought that a general responsive design contains downward and upward responsiveness.. :)
