This release is based on the v2014.11.22.0 Beta release of the official Sandcastle Help File Builder project.

Installation

This release may installed using the attached files instead of using the official installer. If you already have Sandcastle Help File Builder installed, I recommend you uninstall the existing version before installing this release. To uninstall the Visual Studio extension, you will need to open the Extension Manager for each version of Visual Studio you are running and uninstall the extension.

Differences between this release and the official release

The following list of differences is only a summary, and may be incomplete.

  • Include the Modified VS2013 presentation style (sample output). The changes between this and the reference release are relatively minor.
  • Performance improvements for the project system within Visual Studio (especially for the Show All Files operation).
  • Improved code completion support for Visual Studio 2013 with the Roslyn compiler "CTP" extensions installed.
  • Improved code completion support for Visual Studio 2015.
