You do realize that C doesn't allow type declarations inside a for loop except in C99...right? If you tried to compile the kernel with these changes you should have noticed the big, huge, unavoidable compilation error that would appear.

Plus Linus doesn't accept PRs on GitHub...

Support for boards based on Techwell TW5864 chip which provides
multichannel video & audio grabbing and encoding (H.264, MJPEG,
ADPCM G.726).

This submission implements only H.264 encoding of all channels at D1
resolution.

The problem was the "trace(read_max,count)" where the "count" should be
"$count" as "onmax()" only handles variables (although it really should be
able to figure out that "count" is a field of sys_enter_read). But there's
a path that does not find the variable and ends up passing a NULL for the
event, which ends up getting passed to "strcmp()".

Add a check for NULL to return and error on the command with:

able to figure out that "count" is a field of sys_enter_read). But there's
a path that does not find the variable and ends up passing a NULL for the
event, which ends up getting passed to "strcmp()".

Add a check for NULL to return and error on the command with:

Add nft_set_pipapo_match_destroy() helper function to release the
elements in the lookup tables.

Stefano Brivio says: "We additionally look for elements pointers in the
cloned matching data if priv->dirty is set, because that means that
cloned data might point to additional elements we did not commit to the

Currently, if a CPU has more than 10,000 callbacks pending, it will
increase rdp->blimit to LONG_MAX.  If you are lucky, LONG_MAX is only
about two billion, but this is still a bit too many callbacks to invoke
back-to-back while otherwise ignoring the world.

This commit therefore sets a maximum limit of DEFAULT_MAX_RCU_BLIMIT,
which is set to 10,000, for rdp->blimit.

when using __drm_kunit_helper_alloc_drm_device() the driver may be
dereferenced by device-managed resources up until the device is
freed, which is typically later than the kunit-managed resource code
frees it. Fix this by simply make the driver device-managed as well.

If *any* object of a certain WW mutex class is locked, lockdep will
consider *all* mutexes of that class as locked. Also the lock allocation
tracking code will apparently register only the address of the first
mutex locked in a sequence.
This has the odd consequence that if that first mutex is unlocked and
its memory then freed, the lock alloc tracking code will assume that memory
is freed with a held lock in there.

For now, work around that for drm_exec by releasing the first grabbed
object lock last.

when using __drm_kunit_helper_alloc_drm_device() the driver may be
dereferenced by device-managed resources up until the device is
freed, which is typically later than the kunit-managed resource code
frees it. Fix this by simply make the driver device-managed as well.

In short, the sequence leading to the UAF is as follows:

INIT:
Code allocates a struct device as a kunit-managed resource.
Code allocates a drm driver as a kunit-managed resource.
Code allocates a drm device as a device-managed resource.

EXIT:
Kunit resource cleanup frees the drm driver
Kunit resource cleanup puts the struct device, which starts a
      device-managed resource cleanup
device-managed cleanup calls drm_dev_put()
drm_dev_put() dereferences the (now freed) drm driver -> Boom.

when using __drm_kunit_helper_alloc_drm_device() the driver may be
dereferenced by device-managed resources up until the device is
freed, which is typically later than the kunit-managed resource code
frees it. Fix this by simply make the driver device-managed as well.

In short, the sequence leading to the UAF is as follows:

INIT:
Code allocates a struct device as a kunit-managed resource.
Code allocates a drm driver as a kunit-managed resource.
Code allocates a drm device as a device-managed resource.

EXIT:
Kunit resource cleanup frees the drm driver
Kunit resource cleanup puts the struct device, which starts a
      device-managed resource cleanup
device-managed cleanup calls drm_dev_put()
drm_dev_put() dereferences the (now freed) drm driver -> Boom.

When ro_after_init fails, we need to unload the module.

Rename the goto tag to fail_ro_after_init to make it more clear and try
to check for dependencies, stop the module and call the exit function.
This allows to unload the module if ro_after_init fails.

If *any* object of a certain WW mutex class is locked, lockdep will
consider *all* mutexes of that class as locked. Also the lock allocation
tracking code will apparently register only the address of the first
mutex of a given class locked in a sequence.
This has the odd consequence that if that first mutex is unlocked while
other mutexes of the same class remain locked and then its memory then
freed, the lock alloc tracking code will incorrectly assume that memory
is freed with a held lock in there.

For now, work around that for drm_exec by releasing the first grabbed
object lock last.

When ro_after_init fails, we need to unload the module.

Rename the goto tag to fail_ro_after_init to make it more clear and try
to check for dependencies, stop the module and call the exit function.
This allows to unload the module if ro_after_init fails.

This fixes the following error in block loop device driver when forcing
ro_after_init error path:
