When I buy a stock token in 1866 after the initial auction, I am told "Buy/Sell a stock turn token, it enters play as already operated". I think this means that a stock token bought in OR n will first operate in OR n+1.
However, it appears to be inserted into the normal order of operations and hence to operate in OR n if and only if it is bought at a lower price or in a lower position in the same market column as the operating token.
Rule 7.1.1 appears to say that the behaviour is correct and the text misleading.
