The ported-to-appengine version of Brazil includes a sample configuration
and "Virtual" document directory as an example.  This example was derived
from an internal project, code named "Androgen", which allows a specialized
Android app (not included) to interact with the server in interesting ways.

Although the example might not be useful as-is, it demonstrates many of the
capabilities of the system with minimal effort on my part.


How to obtain external dependencies (jar files) to run the example app

1) fetch and unpack the Google Appengine API's:
  http://googleappengine.googlecode.com/files/appengine-java-sdk-1.5.3.zip

2) Edit build.xml and change the location to the root of where you unpacked it:
  <property name="sdk.dir" location=".../appengine-java-sdk-1.5.3" />

3) Obtain the other library dependencies
3a) Fetch The gdata client apis
   http://gdata-java-client.googlecode.com/files/gdata-src.java-1.45.0.zip
3b) unpack the zip file and 
    - from the java/lib directory, copy the following jar files into "lib":
      gdata-base-1.0.jar
      gdata-core-1.0.jar
      gdata-media-1.0.jar
      gdata-photos-2.0.jar
      gdata-photos-meta-2.0.jar
    - from the java/deps directory, copy the following jar files into "lib":
      google-collect-1.0-rc1.jar
3c) Fetch "mailapi.jar" from Oracle (you might need to approve the license)
    http://download.oracle.com/otn-pub/java/javamail/1.4.4//javamail1_4_4.zip
3d) Unpack the zip file, and from the lib directory, copy int lib:
      mailapi.jar
3e) Fetch the Json.org json library.  You can fetch a copy from
     http://kenai.com/projects/nawsakabrazil/sources/subversion/content/naws/externalLibraries/json.jar?rev=62
    or build one yourself by fetching the source code from json.org and
    building the jar file from the sources.  Put json.jar in "lib"

4) Build the sources
     ant compile

5) Run your server (presumably you have modified your config files 
   appropriately):
     ant runserver
   to start the development server on localhost

6) Upload the "virtual" filesystem to the (development) server
    cd root; upload-local `find * -type f`
